How to Plan Iceland Trip Without Self Drive

Iceland was one of the best travel experience for us especially the scenery, Northern Lights and Blue Lagoon. 15 of us self drove through South and West Iceland on a 10 days trip covering Selfoss, Vik, Hofn, Hella, Grundarfjörður and Reykjavik.

Our self-drive trip was tiring however it was also hell lots of fun. We do recommend a self-drive trip if possible. However, it can be dangerous due to skid during winter so do take extra precautions. The key is to have ample time and not a rush trip. Also to drive slower and take more rest in between.

We will be writing Iceland Self Drive article soon if you intend to do a self-drive trip in Iceland.

However, self-drive is not the only option to travel around Iceland. If you are not confident to drive in a foreign land and during winter, we do recommend you to take local tours that will bring you around Iceland. With local guided tours, you can explore multi places in Iceland without the worry of getting lost.
