Champagne Barons de Rothschild Releases The Rothschild Rare Vintage 2010

Champagne House Barons de Rothschild has released the Rare Vintage 2010 Blanc de Blancs.

The Millésime 2010 Barons de Rothschild is the result of a year of exceptional weather, marked by drought, abundant rains that appear just before harvest, a vintage of great potential and wines of great concentration.

Made with 100% Chardonnay of 4 grand crus exclusively from the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the Champagne Barons de Rothschild Rare Vintage 2010 features a pale gold hue with crystalline reflections with notes of citrus fruit, spices, and nuts. First taste, a familiar sourdough with very fine saline and iodine notes accompanied by a refreshing hint of citrus fruit

The champagne house was born under the 3 branches of the Rothschild Family, Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Clarke Edmond de Rothschild & Château Lafite Rothschild dedicated to producing exceptional champagne.

 

The Rothschild Rare Vintage is the finest expression after long ageing of more than 9 months in vats with regular bâtonnage (stirring of the lees), matured on its lees for 8 to 10 years and then allowed to rest for at least 12 more months after disgorgement to regain its balance.

Only 6,240 bottles worldwide and 70 bottles allocated for Malaysia has been sold out. 24 more bottles arriving in Malaysia soon exclusively imported by Bordeaux Liquid Gold.

The launch event was held in Sabayon, EQ Kuala Lumpur, an award-winning restaurant that features fine dining with authentic contemporary European creations while incorporating local Malaysian artisan products helmed by Chef Hafizzul Hashim & Chef Jonathan Heng, the Chef de Cuisine.

Sabayon’s interior design was inspired by the ethereal experience of a bird’s life 250 metres up high. Its Sky51 lobby mimic an infinite space with reflective surfaces creates an illusion of a limitless horizon as a bird glides in equilibrium.
