It’s time to usher in the lunar new year with auspicious offerings! Celebrating it with the lucky colours of white and blue in a year of the rat, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur offers you few sets of menus for you and your loved ones to enjoy an array of scrumptious Chinese New Year feast signifying prosperity. Each set menu’s pricing caters for a table of 10 persons which includes Chinese Tea.
All set menus start off with a prosperity Yee Sang with a choice of Salmon, Jellyfish, Prawn, Snow Pear or the Special Fruit & Cheese in conjunction with the year of the rat. The RM1,288nett set includes dishes like braised seafood with bean curd and mushrooms, chicken with cashew nut, wok-fried prawns with salted egg yolk, deep-fried Silver Pomfret with superior soy sauce, braised black mushroom with seasonal vegetables, Yong Chow Fried Rice and the special Rice Jelly with Nut dessert.
The second set menu with the price of RM1,388nett encompasses braised superior soup with crabmeat and scallop, braised roast duck with sweet sauce, garlic prawn with macadamia sautéed with vegetables, steamed golden snapper with homemade soy sauce, braised black mushroom and fish maw with broccoli and dried oyster, fried rice with silver anchovies and diced chicken. Apart from the chilled honeydew sago, another special dessert highlight for 2020 would be the steamed mouse-shaped lotus paste buns.
The hotel also offers the premium set menu at RM1,488nett which includes the braised superior soup with assorted seafood and dried scallop, Sichuan chicken with almond, prawn with pine nuts, steamed Patin with supreme sauce, braised sea cucumber and black mushroom, fried rice with seafood and silver anchovies, and it ends with the longan and snow fungus with ginkgo nut and steamed mouse-shaped lotus paste buns.
If you are looking to get a Yee Sang takeaway for your family, you can also look at preordering individual Yee Sang boxes from the Yee Sang ala carte menu of Checkers café. The Salmon, Thai style Tiger Prawn and jellyfish Yee Sang is selling at RM158nett while the vegetarian snow pear and special Fruit & Cheese Yee Sang is at RM108nett.
The above Chinese New Year Yee Sang and set menus are available from 8th January to 8th February 2020. This year, Checkers café offers you a complimentary bottle of Lee Kum Kee Oyster or Soy Sauce per table for the first 100 dine-in tables while stocks last.
